Welcome to the Gin Street website.
Following a two year break, Gin Street reformed in February 2015 but with a repertoire expanded from their original Blues/Rock roots, to include some Classic Rock songs of the 60's and 70's. Most of the songs we play are instantly recognisable by audiences of all ages, and includes songs that are not often, if ever, played by other covers bands. A typical Gin Street set is made up from the songs shown at the bottom of this page, although we can't promise to play ALL of these in one night!
Gin Street can promise you a live set of hard driving, foot tapping, feel good, boogie blues and classic rock, combined with a dynamic on-stage presence.
So who are Gin Street?
Duncan Jay - Lead vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica - Duncans smooth and powerful vocal delivery provides a perfect lead for the hard driving, full sound that is the Gin Street trademark. Occasional wailing harmonica fills and rythmn guitar parts add variety.
Kev Davies- Lead guitar and vocals - Kev fronts the band with his soaring guitar solo's delivered with passion and authority. He also shares lead vocal duties to give the band more variety of sounds and song choices.
Neil Paxton - Bass guitar, vocals and keyboards. Neil provides sometimes intricate, sometimes simple, but always pounding, bass grooves with the occasional Hammond organ and piano parts adding tonal variety.
Paul Jackson - Drums and vocals. Paul is a highly experienced and very competent musician. He completes the band line up and underpins the whole Gin Street sound with his top class skin bashing.
